Stefan is a Senior Consultant at Groth & Co, specialising in trade marks and design. He works with developing and implementing trade mark and design strategies for listed corporations, both in Sweden and internationally.
With long-standing experience in protection strategies, risk analyses, name creation, clearance searches, and licensing agreements, Stefan provides strategic advice that combines legal expertise with commercial understanding. He has particular experience in IP matters within industries such as mechanics and hand tools, sports equipment, apparel, textiles, food and beverages, media, and the steel and engineering sectors.
Stefan has a strong international focus and specific expertise in the Chinese market, where he assists clients in establishing and protecting their intellectual property rights in complex and rapidly evolving environments.
He previously worked as an Examiner at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante and at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV), gaining unique insight into decision-making processes and administrative practices within IP authorities.
Stefan is also an appreciated lecturer in intellectual property law and has contributed to training programmes at Stockholm University, SIPF, Varumärkesdagen®, and the Sweden-China Trade Council (SCTC).
