Mattias is an experienced Patent Attorney with deep technical expertise across a broad range of technological fields. His areas of expertise include electronics, power transmission systems, telecommunications, high-pressure processing equipment, power and automation, information and communication technology, and lighting for both consumer and industrial applications.
Holding a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), where his research focused on computational materials science, Mattias has developed unique specialist knowledge within materials science. This research background makes him particularly well suited to handle technically advanced and interdisciplinary matters in patent cases.
Mattias has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as providing strategic advice in all types of patent-related matters. He has successfully represented clients in oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO) and holds the CEIPI Diploma in European Patent Litigation from the University of Strasbourg.
Through his long experience as a patent attorney, Mattias has earned the trust of his clients and is a highly regarded adviser in complex IP matters where technology, strategy, and commercial value intersect. In addition, he possesses extensive expertise in EPC and procedural matters.
Mattias is also a registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
