Sweden ranks second when the world's most innovative countries are listed in the UN's World Intellectual Property Organisation WIPO's annual Global Innovation Index measurement. The Global Innovation Index examines the innovation capabilities and results of 132 countries based on 80 indicators. In addition to criteria such as patent and trademark applications, the index measures indicators for, among other things, high-tech exports, political environment, education, scientific publications, infrastructure, and idea creation.
-Sweden's position as the world's second-most innovative country proves our leading status in innovation. This strength is crucial for our global competitiveness, new employment opportunities, and our role in the green transition. By valuing and developing our intellectual assets, we create growth that bolsters the brand 'Sweden' and encourages more companies to establish themselves in our market, says Carolin Sundkvist, CEO, Groth & Co
