(Publ. 5 MAY 2015) In March 2015, 120 patents applications were filed in Sweden. This is the highest figure over the past five years. Also, European patents validated in Sweden are at an all-time high, with a total of 1040 cases. This according to Sepaf Innovation Index.
81 of the 120 patent applications, and 60 of the 1040 patents validated, were from Swedish companies.
As we have previously reported, the number of trademark applications is steadily increasing. This is still an on-going trend. In March 2015 a total of 185 trademark applications were filed in Sweden. This is the highest figure since the survey began in 2008.
