(Publ. 22 MAY 2014) Our client, the Swedish pharmaceutical company Orexo, was rewarded with the SwedenBio Award yesterday. The prize is awarded by the Swedish trade association for the life science industry, SwedenBio , and is given to a company that has achieved particular success during the past year.

Criteria for award

The nominated company must:

• have contributed to an increased interest in the industry
• have given inspiration of achievements and successes above average within the life science industry in the past year
• be a life science company that is a member of SwedenBIO

Jury Statement

During the past year Orexo has succeeded in getting the proprietary product Zubsolv both approved and launched in the United States. Swedish life science companies always need to have a strong international presence and in that area Orexo a true role model. Orexo manages to combine a strong presence and sales organization in the U.S. with a successful R&D in Sweden. Through the company’s leadership Orexo has established itself as growing niche pharmaceutical company that can serve as inspiration for the entire Swedish life science industry.
