(Publ. 12 AUG 2016) 24 September 2016 constitutes the deadline for specifying class headings in accordance with the EU trademark reform. Therefore, it is very important to ensure that your EU trademark is giving you the proper trademark protection After this date it will no longer be possible to specify the class headings and if no action is taken you will run the risk of no longer having the trademark protection required to include the goods and services in your business.  

The new rules require that the goods and services are clearly and precisely identified in, for the goods and services, corresponding Nice class. This applies to EU trademarks applied for prior to the 22nd of June 2012 and for which class headings have been used in the lists of goods and services.
