Groth & Co has a new dedicated chemistry and mechanics team led by Karolina Wiktorson.
Climate challenges and the green transition are driving forces for new innovations in the field of chemistry. Groth & Co is meeting an increased demand for expertise in the field of chemistry and has now a dedicated chemistry and mechanics team. Karolina Wiktorson, new patent attorney at Groth & Co, will lead this team with the ambition to provide advice on intellectual property to clients within this technical field.
Karolina Wiktorson joined Groth & Co in early March and she comes most recently from the R&D company RenFuel, which works with biofuels and materials based on a waste product from the forest. At RenFuel, she was IP Manager and was responsible for ensuring that the strategies regarding intellectual property and business development went hand in hand.
In addition to Karolina Wiktorson, the team today consists of Dag Stålhandske and John Carlund. Dag Stålhandske is a patent attorney and search specialist, which is a great advantage when novelty searches and FTO analyzes can be done in close collaboration within the team. Dag holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Lund University and has over 20 years of experience from Electrolux and has special expertise in household-related technology and fluid dynamics. John Carlund is an Associate and has a Master's degree in Intellectual Capital Management and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. John has a broad theoretical and technical background that includes programming, fluid dynamics and mechatronics in particular, which he combines with business-oriented management of intellectual assets. In addition to his studies, John has been an intern at small to medium-sized companies where he worked mainly with business-driven management of IP issues.
The team will be able to assist clients in the field of chemistry and mechanics with all kinds of patent-related issues, such as novelty investigations, drafting and implementation of patent strategies, drafting and pursuing patent applications, as well as conducting validity investigations, infringement assessments and objections.
- I´m pleased that Groth & Co has a dedicated team for the field of chemistry and mechanics. We have experience of providing advice on intellectual property to all types of companies, from small start-ups to large industrial customers, says Karolina. With solid experience from the industrial side, we can provide business-oriented advice on intellectual property adapted to the individual client.
