A new book on the design study has been published on September 8th, 2017 and it has been presented on October 15th, 2017 in Sidney during the AIPPI annual meeting congress. Ruth Almaraz, European Trademark and Design Attorney at Groth & Co in Alicante, is co-author of the chapter for Spain. The book is entitled “Design Rights: Functionality and Scope of Protection” and contains over 25 chapters, each dedicated to a different jurisdiction. Co-author of the Spanish chapter is also Nestor Corominas, Spanish Patent Agent and Industrial Engineer of Curell Suñol.
The Design Study Question is the third under “AIPPI Law Series”. In 2015, the publication was “Employee’s Intellectual Property Rights and in 2016 the publication was “Second Medical Use”. In charge of the new book is Chris Carani and the book has been published and edited by Wolters Kluwer.
