(Publ. 25 MAY 2022) Recently, there was an awards ceremony in Young Innovators’ inventor competition Young Innovator of the Year (Årets unga innovatör). 18 winners received scholarships of up to SEK 5,000, diplomas and one year of membership in Young Innovators’ alumni. Three honorary awards were also presented.
A well-known jury awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in the categories Social Benefit, Climate & Environment and Health and honorary awards went to particularly innovative innovations. Some of the innovations are at the stage where they can apply for patents or design protection.
Before the awards ceremony, the students exhibited their competition entries for invited guests and the jury at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm.
The competition’s participants, over 500 this year, are young people from all over Sweden aged 12-15. Since the start of the academic year 1978/1979, more than 100,000 students have participated in the competition which is held annually.
In our CSR work, we at Groth & Co support Young Innovators (Unga innovatörer) to strengthen the innovative thinking of middle school and high school students.
