LEGO a newcomer on the international ranking list

Apple, Google and Coca-Cola can still be found at the top of the list of the world’s highest valued trademarks. A Nordic newcomer that recently claimed a place on the list is LEGO. Other Nordic brands that already possess a spot are H&M and IKEA. The two brands that are extinguishing themselves from the rest by climbing towards the top of the list faster than the rest, are Facebook and Amazon. This is shown in Interbrand’s annual Best Global Brand report, released in October.

Apple has increased 43% in value and is now considered to have a value of $170.3 billion (SEK 1.5 trillion), while Google still claims the 2nd place with its 12% increase and a total value of $120.3 billion. Although the brand suffered a 4% decrease, Coca-Cola is still listed at the high value of $78.4 billion. The two Swedish brands H&M and IKEA can be found at place 21st and 27th. These brands are estimated to have a value of $22.2 billion and $16.5 billion respectively. The Danish newcomer LEGO has positioned itself on number 82 with an estimated value of $5.4 billion.
